Forum: forums Subject: Curator help needed: files went missing.

http://www.archive.org/audio/audio-details-db.php?collection=opensource_audio&collectionid=nfn-2005-06-25&non_public=1 is an entry I tried to replace some files in and the process was going along smoothly then the following error appeared:

Unable to locate item nfn-2005-06-25 for item replacement. Waiting for admin to investigate.

It has been over a day since I first got the error.

I saw the warning that replacing files for *movies* didn't work, but this is in the audio section.

Thanks for your attention.

I believe that the drive that your audio recording was on is down - I've pinged the ops people at the Archive about it, hopefully they will resolve in the near future.

Any luck on fixing http://www.archive.org/audio/audio-details-db.php?collection=opensource_audio&collectionid=nfn-2005-06-25&non_public=1 or fixing the disk on which that entry sits?

I have uploaded replacement files in the month since I first posted about this issue, just to see if there had been any change in status of the disks. But those files were quickly "lost" too. The files I tried to post are still sitting on audio-uploads.archive.org in my directory in a subdir called "nfn-2005-06-25".

Thanks.
